1. Product Introduce

RD-SVR series radar flowmeter can continuously measure the flow of water in rivers and open channels and obtain surface

flow velocity and water level height by non-contact measurement. For the regular channel section, the flow results are calculated

using conventional mathematical formulas. For the irregular channel section, the flow results are obtained by using the plot

method and calculuscalculation. The non-contact measurement method is not affected by impuritiessuch as sediments and water

plants, which reduces maintenance costs and increasesreliability.

2.Product Feature

(1) The two-in one product directly completes the flow calculation, and the embedded hydraulic model is related to the section

shape,roughness, slope,water level and so on. The flow meter directly outputs flow rate, water level,instantaneous flow and

accumulated flow without taking up other computing resources.

(2) Supportarray multi-point measurement, flow monitoring of ultra-wide sections byconfiguring 1 set of flow meters and N sets

of flow meters.

3.Product Advantage

(1) Scientific flow calculation (hydraulicmodel)

Flow section cross-section flow rate =section cross-sectional area * section average flow velocity, how to obtain the average

flow velocity of the section has always been a difficult point in the field. For this reason, our company has developed a

fluid mechanics model incooperation with Tsinghua University, and through continuous experimentation,the model is revised.

  1. Create a 3D model for a given section.

  2. The relationship between the average flow velocity of the section and the surface velocity obtained by gridding.

  3. TheK-value curve (related to the water depth) between the surface velocity and theaverage velocity of the section is

    delineated to calculate the average flowvelocity of the section.

(2) Open channel flow online monitoring Solutions

The open channel radar online measuring station is composed of a radar flow meter,a wireless data transmission module

and a solar power supply module. The radar flowmeter collects the real-time water level of the section and the real-time

flow velocity of each section, and calculates the real-time flow of the section according to the three-dimensional model of the

section, which is sent by thewireless module to the management center through the mobile phone network. Theentire system is

powered by a solar module.

(3) Installation Notes

According to the width of the open channel and the shape of the bottom, optimize the number of devices, and select the bridge

installation or pole installation according to the actual situation. Selection and configuration recommendations:

a. Installed in an environment where the water surface is gentle and stable, there is no backflow and vortex, and the water surface

is in the measurement range.

b.Avoide nvironments such as drains, vertical drops, baffles, and river bends.

c.The center axis of the device should be consistent with the direction of waterflow, and the central axis of the radar flowmeter

should be perpendicular to the water surface.
